Wood Gasification of Fine Dust Filter

The APFenergyWoodgasFilter™ is based on wet electrostatic precipitator technology and is used for wood gasification. Unlike dry electrostatic precipitators, such as the APFenergySmartfilter™ or the APFenergyTowerfilter™, tar, alkalis and particles are separated out after ionization using water.
This type of thermochemical gasification of biomass is ideal for generating electricity from solid biomass in the low output range (50-500 kWel). The biomass is converted into a combustible gas mixture of CO, CO2, H2 and CH4 under a severe lack of oxygen. This can be used in piston engines, turbines or high-temperature fuel cells. However, the gas must first be cleaned of tars, alkalis and particles.
APFenergyWoodgasFilter™ efficiently clean the exhaust gas of these pollutants so that the gas can be used in the engine.
