Privacy Policy - APF Advanced Particle Filters GmbH
This website is operated by APF Advanced Particle Filters GmbH, Hannakstraße 3a 5023 Salzburg ("we" or "us").
We describe here how we, as the website operator and thus as the data protection controller, process your personal data in connection with this website, which can be accessed under the domain https://www.apf.ag (hereinafter referred to as 'our website').
1
How do we collect the data?
Below you will find an overview of the data we collect:
-
Non-identified and non-identifiable information that you provide during the registration process or that is collected through the use of our services (“non-personal data”). Non-personal data does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about who collected it. Non-personal data that we collect consists mainly of technical and aggregated usage information.
-
Individually identifiable information, i.e. any information by which you can be identified or could reasonably be identified (“personal data”). Personal Data that we collect through our Services may include information that is requested from time to time, such as names, email addresses, addresses, phone numbers, IP addresses and more. If we combine personal data with non-personal data, we will treat it as personal data for as long as it is combined.
2
What data do we process about you?
In the course of your visit to this website, we will collect the following information:
-
the date and time you access a page on our website, your IP address, time, duration, type of access, URL, status and version of your web browser, the web page (URL) you visited before accessing this website (so-called server log files),
-
certain cookies (see point 4. below) and
-
information that you yourself may provide, in particular by filling out a contact form.
3
Purposes and legal bases of data processing
We will process your personal data for the following purposes, relying in particular on the legal bases listed:
-
to make this website available to you and to further improve and develop this website (based on our predominantly legitimate interest [pursuant to Art 6 para 1 lit f DSGVO]);
-
to compile usage statistics in order to continuously improve our online offer and the user experience of our website (based on your consent [pursuant to Art 6 (1) (a) DSGVO]);
-
to detect, prevent and investigate attacks on our website (based on our predominantly legitimate interest [pursuant to Art 6 (1) (f) DSGVO]); and
-
to respond to your enquiries (based on your consent [pursuant to Art 6(1)(a) DSGVO]).
4
Transmission of your personal data
If we disclose, transmit or otherwise grant access to data to other persons and companies (order processors such as, in particular, technical service providers for the provision of our website, affiliated companies or other third parties) within the scope of the above-mentioned processing, this will only be done if it is permitted by law (e.g. transmission to a payment service provider for the fulfilment of contracts pursuant to Art 6 (1) lit a DSGVO), if you have consented or we are legally obliged to do so or on the basis of our legitimate interests (e.g. when using agents, etc.).
If we commission third parties to process data on the basis of a so-called "order processing contract", this is done in accordance with Art. 28 DSGVO.
Some of the recipients mentioned above are located outside your country or process your personal data there. The level of data protection in other countries may not be the same as in your country. However, we only transfer your personal data to countries for which the EU Commission has decided that they have an adequate level of data protection or we take measures to ensure that recipients have an adequate level of data protection. For example, we conclude standard contractual clauses for the transfer of personal data to third countries in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 or ensure that they are concluded by our appointed service providers.
5
Embedded Third Party Content
Consentmanager
We have integrated the consent management tool "consentmanager" (www.consentmanager.de) of consentmanager GmbH (Eppendorfer Weg 183, 20253 Hamburg, info@consentmanager.net) on our website to request consent for data processing or the use of cookies or comparable functions. "consentmanager" offers the possibility to grant or refuse your consent for certain functionalities of our website, e.g. for the purpose of integrating external elements, integrating streaming content, statistical analysis, coverage measurement and personalised advertising. With the help of "consentmanager" you can give or refuse your consent for all functions as well as give your consent for individual purposes or individual functions. The settings you make can also be changed by you afterwards. The purpose of integrating "consentmanager" is to allow the users of our website to decide on the aforementioned matters and, in the course of further use of our website, to offer the possibility of changing settings already made. In the course of using "consentmanager", personal data as well as information of the end devices used, such as the IP address, are processed (Art 6 para 1 S 1 lit c IVm Art 6 para 3 S 1 lit a in conjunction with Art 7 para 1 and alternatively Art 6 para 1 lit f DSGVO). Consentmanager helps us to fulfil our legal obligations (e.g. obligation to provide evidence) by processing the data. Our legitimate interests in the processing lie in the storage of user settings and preferences in relation to the use of cookies and other functionalities. Consentmanager stores your data as long as your user settings are active. 365 days after the user settings have been made, a renewed request for consent is made. The user settings made are then stored again for this period. The logs are deleted after 13 months. The processing can be (subsequently) objected to. The right to object exists for reasons arising from the particular situation of a data subject. To object, please send an e-mail to info@consentmanager.net.
Our contact form
The data you enter via our contact form is transmitted to us via e-mail for processing and can be viewed in our system for a period of 6 months.
Our blog
Please note that our services enable social interactions (e.g. posting content, information and comments publicly and chatting with other users). Please be aware that any content or data you provide in these areas may be read, collected and used by others. We advise against posting or sharing information that you do not wish to make public. If you upload content to our digital assets or otherwise make it available as part of your use of a service, you do so at your own risk. We cannot control the actions of other users or members of the public with access to your data or content. You acknowledge and confirm that copies of your data may remain accessible even after they have been deleted from cached and archived pages or after a copy/storage of your content has been made by a third party.
Our online presence on social media
We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to communicate with the customers, interested parties and users active there and to be able to inform them about our services there. When calling up the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and data protection information of the corresponding social networks apply. We process users' data when they communicate with us within the social networks and platforms, e.g. write posts on our profile or send us messages. Requests for information and the assertion of data subject rights can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the users' data and can directly take appropriate measures and provide information.
SSL encryption of our website
Our website uses SSL encryption through Let's Encrypt - SSL Certificates (https://letsencrypt.org/repository/). This encryption is used, for example, for enquiries that you send to us via our website. Please make sure that SSL encryption is activated for corresponding activities on your part. The use of encryption is easy to recognise: the display in your browser address line shows "https://". Data encrypted via SSL cannot be read by third parties.
6
storage duration
We will generally store your data for a period of 6 months. A longer storage takes place insofar as this is necessary for the specific purpose, in particular to investigate attacks on our website.
7

How we protect your data?
The hosting service for our digital assets provides us with the online platform through which we can offer you our services. Your data can be stored via our hosting provider's data storage, databases and general applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall and they provide secure HTTPS access to most areas of their services.
Notwithstanding the measures and efforts taken by us and our hosting provider, we cannot and do not guarantee absolute protection and security of the data you upload, publish or otherwise disclose to us or others.
For this reason, we encourage you to set strong passwords and, whenever possible, not to provide us or others with confidential information that you believe could cause you significant or lasting harm if disclosed. As email and instant messaging are not considered secure forms of communication, we also ask that you do not disclose confidential information via either of these communication channels
So-called cookies are used on this website. A cookie is a small file that can be stored on your terminal device when you visit a website. To give you an overview of the cookies used on our website, a so-called "cookie banner" appears when you first visit our website. This allows you to manage your cookie settings according to your preferences. If you select "Reject all", all cookies and similar technologies - with the exception of technically necessary cookies - will be blocked and, in the absence of your consent, will not be loaded and any associated data processing will be prevented.
Technically necessary cookies are used to provide users with essential functions on a website. For example, they may be used to help you navigate a website, to allow you to continue using a website where you left it, to save your preferences and settings (e.g. language, etc) or your shopping cart when you visit the website again. The setting of these technically necessary cookies does not require your consent, as it is in our legitimate interest as website operator to be able to provide you with a functioning website (legal basis of a predominantly legitimate interest of the controller pursuant to Art 6 para 1 lit f DSGVO).
Please note that blocking or deleting cookies could affect your experience when using the website and prevent you from using the full functionality of the website.
Non-essential cookies serve the purposes of "analysis" or "marketing" and require your consent. Information gained from the use of these technologies enables us to learn more about the interests of our users through aggregated statistics in order to continuously improve our website, to measure the success of our marketing measures and to focus on the interests of our users and customers and to show you only advertising that is most likely to be of interest to you.
Here you can find out at any time which cookies our website sets and for what purpose and how long the cookies remain. You can also adjust your consents there. There you can block or allow certain providers at any time.
Most of the cookies on this website are so-called session cookies. They are automatically deleted when you leave our website. Permanent cookies, on the other hand, remain on your computer until you delete them manually in your browser. We use such permanent cookies to recognise you the next time you visit our website. You can track the storage period of a specific cookie under the provider list.

Privacy policy for the use of Facebook plugins (Like button)
Plugins of the social network Facebook,1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA are integrated on our pages. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our pages, a direct connection is established between your browser and the Facebook server via the plugin. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click on the Facebook “Like” button while you are logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we have no knowledge of the content of the transmitted data or its use by Facebook. Further information on this can be found in Facebook's privacy policy at http://de-de.facebook.com/policy.php

Google Ads
We advertise with Google Ads, the online advertising platform developed by Google, to draw attention to our offers on external websites and in Google products such as Google Search or YouTube. We can determine the success of the individual campaigns in relation to the advertising campaign data. In this way, we pursue the interest of showing users advertising that is likely to be of interest to them, making our website more individualized and thus more interesting and achieving a fair calculation of advertising costs. These advertisements are delivered by Google via so-called “ad servers”. Ad server cookies are used for this purpose, which can be used to measure certain parameters for measuring success, such as the display of ads or clicks by users. If a user reaches our website via a Google ad and agrees to the setting of optional marketing cookies, Google Ads cookies are stored on the user's end device. These cookies enable Google to recognize your internet browser. If a user visits certain pages of an Ads customer's website and the cookie stored on their device has not yet expired, Google and the customer can recognize that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. A different cookie is assigned to each Ads customer. Cookies can therefore not be tracked via the websites of Ads customers. We ourselves do not collect and process any personal data in the aforementioned advertising measures. We only receive statistical evaluations from Google. Based on these evaluations, we can recognize which of the advertising measures used are particularly effective. We do not receive any further data from the use of the advertising material; in particular, we cannot identify users on the basis of this information. Due to the marketing tools used, your browser automatically establishes a direct connection with the Google server. This data transfer to Google with locations in the USA is based on active certification in accordance with the EU-US Privacy Framework. We have no influence on the scope and further use of the data collected by Google through the use of this tool.

When you access the website, data (IP address of your end device using Google's “IP anonymization/masking features”, URL and title of our website that you visit, browser data [information about the browser, operating system, screen resolution, language selection, date and time]) is transmitted to Google LLC with locations in the USA (“Google”) because the required code is loaded directly from a Google server. You can find more information in the Google Analytics privacy policy at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de. Google operates sites in the USA. The data transfer is based on Google's active EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/s/participant-search/participant-detail?id=a2zt000000001L5AAI&status=Active) and the EU standard contractual clauses.
